My journey as a bookkeeper began in South Africa more than 20 years ago. Having worked for Barclays Bank, (later First National Bank) I decided not to return after my maternity leave ended, and instead began work doing the accounts of a local food wholesaler.

Having left the wholesaler I began doing outsourced bookkeeping for a number of local companies in the area via my own company.

In 2003 my husband and I decided to relocate to the UK where I worked for two companies doing their accounts. In 2011 I formed my own company and have done outsourced bookkeeping since then, first as part of the Cloud Bookkeeping franchise, and now, as Intu Bookkeeping, my own bookkeeping service.

Helping small and medium businesses make sense of their accounts and providing a guiding hand in the sometimes confusing world of accounting and payroll is my passion. Many of my clients have come to me in desperation, having been let down by a previous bookkeeper, or reacting to a final demand by HMRC for a tax or VAT return. I work closely with accountants.
